One of the greatest threats to life and family in Africa and the Caribbean will be addressed at the Transatlantic Dialogues of the Political Network for Values (PNfV) next Wednesday, June 29: the new European Union Association Agreement – Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (EU – ACP).
During our IV Transatlantic Summit in Budapest, Laura Cunliffe, executive director of Family Watch International (FWI), raised the alarm about the “hidden clauses” that open the doors of the countries involved in abortion and gender ideology.
The webinar will open with an analysis of the new terms of the EU – ACP Agreement, by Sharon Slater, President of FWI, followed by comments by Bert-Jan Ruissen, Member of the European Parliament, the Netherlands; Ashems Songwe, Member of Parliament, Malawi; and Rebekah Ali-Gouveia, Executive Director of the Elpis Center, Trinidad and Tobago.
What elements of the treaty are configured as ideological colonialism? How will it affect families and culture in Africa and the Caribbean? How to face these challenges and neutralize the risks from governments and parliaments? These and other questions will be answered in the online event entitled: “The hidden challenges of the new EU-Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Agreement. What to do in the political field?”.
